Summary
Acorn Engineering is seeking a Building Services Engineer with an electrical bias, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all electrical systems at the centre are operating efficiently and safely.
Using our CAFM system, you’ll perform planned preventative maintenance, respond to emergencies, and keep essential services running smoothly.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team, working across plant rooms, high-level access equipment, and public areas – always maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 41.5 Hours on a rota base

Responsibilities
Carry out PPM and reactive electrical maintenance tasks.
Ensure compliance with NICEIC and H&S procedures.
Support energy efficiency and monitor plant performance.
Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
Assist other departments and respond to call-outs.
Participate in emergency rota and out-of-hours support.
Skills & Qualifications Required
Knowledge & Understanding
Demonstrable knowledge of statutory requirements
Desirable:
Familiarity with CAFM systems
Experience within a retail or large commercial environment
Personal Qualities
Strong communication and customer service skills
Flexible and team-oriented approach
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering Maintenance
IET 18th Edition
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar maintenance engineering role
IOSH Safety Passport or equivalent awareness
