Acorn Engineering are seeking a highly organised and proactive Service & Operations Coordinator to support the smooth and efficient running of our business operations. This is a fast-paced and varied position, ideal for someone who enjoys being central to daily business activity and working closely with multiple teams.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative, customer service, and operational support to ensure projects, service activities, and internal processes are delivered professionally, accurately, and on time. You will work alongside engineers, operational teams, subcontractors, and clients, helping maintain robust systems, documentation, and service standards.

Cycle to Work Scheme
Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to service and operations teams.
Act as the first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls, ensuring a professional front-of-house experience.
Maintain and update client documentation, such as log folders, F-Gas records, and compliance paperwork.
Coordinate office logistics including visitor parking, incoming/outgoing correspondence, and deliveries.
Manage subcontractor administration: certification records, scheduling visits, and ensuring compliance.
Support engineers with ordering tools, booking goods received, and managing office supplies.
Prepare and issue RAMS documentation prior to site works and organise required electrical certificates.
Assist with invoicing processes, authorisation workflows, and distributing documentation to relevant teams.
Upload, update, and maintain internal and client system data with high accuracy.
Circulate monthly performance feedback questionnaires and support service improvement initiatives.
Generate routine reports to support operational oversight and performance tracking.
Work collaboratively across teams to promote a well-organised, positive working environment.

Qualifications & Experience
GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
Previous experience in administration, coordination, or operations support.
Experience in a maintenance, engineering, or service-led environment is advantageous.
Confident use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Skills & Competencies
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work proactively and independently, as well as part of a team.
