To work as a technical professional who provides leadership for a team of electrical engineers. He or she is expected to provide mentorship and guidance to engineers, as well as contribute to the development of the Electrical Services Department. The individual must ensure that processes are followed, and product quality is maintained. As a lead engineer your ability to create cooperation and unity within the team is important.

Salary: Competitive (Depending on experience)
Hours: 41.25 per week, (Mon-Fri) plus 1 Saturday per month

Providing technical direction and leadership for a team of engineers performing electrical installation, maintenance, testing & repairs within the Acorn portfolio
Mentoring and guiding engineers
Contributing to the development & growth of the Electrical Services department
Ensuring that engineering processes are followed throughout the team
Maintaining quality & standard of work
To be a key individual within the department to all internal & external customers.
Stay up to date with the latest electrical regulations, ensuring all work complies with these regulations & health and safety standards. This would include delivering this information to other engineers
Provide technical advice and support to the office team & non-electrical departments within the business
To complete appraisals with direct reports
To assist where needed in carrying out technical surveys
To act as project lead in running projects and works
To assist with training of all electrical qualified engineers within Acorn
Any other reasonable instruction from the Electrical Technical Manager or their line managers

Qualifications
Fully qualified electrician – City & Guilds 2360 (or equivalent) & NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
AM2
City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
3 years’ experience managing engineers
LV AP (Ideal not essential)
IPAF (Ideal not essential)
PASMA (Ideal not essential)
Valid Driver’s License
DBS Check
