We are seeking a skilled Building Services Engineer to carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and repair works across various contracts. You’ll work on mechanical and electrical building services systems, ensuring smooth operation and client satisfaction across London and the West of London - These Locations would cover, Oxford, Reading, London and Slough to name a few

Package & Benefits

Salary: up to 44K

Hours: 41.25 hours a week with Overtime and Call out oppituinites

Responsibilities

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and repair works across various contracts.

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain strong relationships and ensure smooth operations.

  • Liaise with internal helpdesk and administration teams to create a collaborative support function.

  • Attend call-outs during normal working hours and participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.

  • Organize work and time efficiently while working supportively within a team.

  • Ensure punctual site attendance, maintain a professional appearance, and wear appropriate PPE.

  • Complete and submit clear, concise, and accurate reports for works carried out and any further work required.

  • Maintain regular communication with Contracts Managers regarding job progress.

  • Provide necessary updates to clients as required.

  • Review and maintain all logbooks or relevant documents for task completion.

What we are looking for

  • Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services, including HVAC systems (A/C, boilers, heating and cooling systems, ventilation) and an understanding of Legionella compliance.

  • Qualifications: City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with time-served experience as a mechanical/maintenance engineer (apprenticeship preferred).

  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) for reporting and communication.

  • Personal Attributes:

    • Valid UK driving licence.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Excellent time management and organisational abilities.

    • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

    • Ability to assess breakdowns and make calculated decisions under pressure.

  • Health & Safety Awareness: A thorough understanding of health and safety practices relevant to the role.
