Our Contract Performance Team plays a vital role in ensuring strong contract governance, commercial accuracy and effective performance management across our customer portfolio.

We are now recruiting a Contract Performance Team Leader to guide this function and support our ongoing growth.

Role Overview

The Contract Performance Team Leader is responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership, quality of output and commercial performance of the Contract Performance Team.

You will oversee contract governance, renewal management, commercial controls and performance reporting across a wide portfolio of contracts.


This role works closely with Sales & Business Development, Operations and Finance to ensure contractual obligations are met, risks are managed, and opportunities to drive profitability and performance are identified and delivered.

Responsibilities

 Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, coach and develop the Contract Performance Team to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery.

  • Allocate workload, set priorities and ensure deadlines for renewals, variations and contract activities are met.

  • Provide expert guidance on complex contract queries, pricing, indexation and benchmarking.

  • Embed a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.

Commercial Management

  • Protect contract profitability through proactive monitoring, pricing checks and performance insight.

  • Lead subcontractor benchmarking to ensure pricing is accurate and commercially competitive.

  • Oversee and authorise subcontractor purchase orders, ensuring compliance with commercial requirements.

Contract Administration & Governance

  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up‑to‑date contract records and master data.

  • Retain responsibility for a portfolio of strategic or complex contracts.

  • Ensure strong governance of renewal timelines, contract changes and approval processes.

  • Monitor and drive progress across renewals, variations and outstanding purchase orders.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Lead commercial analysis, pricing validation and performance monitoring to enhance profitability.

  • Oversee subcontractor onboarding in line with compliance and governance requirements.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Oversee customer‑facing documentation for renewals, variations and addenda.

  • Collaborate across Sales, Operations and Finance to improve contract outcomes and support business objectives.

Reporting & Performance Insight

  • Lead the production and validation of performance reports and KPI dashboards.

  • Identify risks, underperformance and improvement opportunities, driving corrective action where needed.

  • Provide senior management with clear, timely updates on contract performance, risks and opportunities.

Skills & Qualifications Required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in contract management, commercial administration or a similar environment.

  • Strong commercial acumen, including understanding of pricing, cost control and profitability.

  • Proven ability to manage complex workloads and competing priorities.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing contract and financial data.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Confident working with spreadsheets, reporting tools and data systems.

Desirable

  • Experience leading, supervising or coaching a team.

  • Experience within FM, engineering services or a contract‑led service environment.

  • Familiarity with CAFM or contract management systems.
