We are currently seeking a Building Services Engineer to join our team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) across client sites in Hampshire and the surrounding counties.

Salary: up to £38000 depending on experience plus overtime and callout

About the Role

We are recruiting for a skilled Carpenter to join our Operations team at Bicester Village, working within a busy, high-end retail environment.

This role is primarily carpentry-focused, delivering high-quality repairs, installations, and maintenance works across the site. Alongside core carpentry duties, the successful candidate will also support general fabric and site maintenance activities where reasonably required, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the estate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship, works to high standards, and enjoys being part of a collaborative on-site team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a wide range of carpentry works, including repairs, installations, and reactive maintenance

  • Deliver high-quality finishes in line with the standards expected in a premium retail environment

  • Complete planned and reactive carpentry tasks across the site

  • Support general fabric and maintenance tasks where reasonably required

  • Respond to maintenance requests within agreed service level agreements

  • Work collaboratively with the wider site and operations team

  • Ensure all works are completed in line with Health & Safety requirements

  • Maintain accurate records of works completed

  • Identify, report, and advise on defects or additional works required

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience working as a Carpenter (essential)

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Flexible and willing to support wider maintenance activities when required

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • IPAF licence (desirable) or willingness to obtain

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Carpentry (or equivalent) – essential

  • Additional maintenance or multi-skilled experience – desirable
