We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and people-focused Contract Manager to oversee a portfolio of building services maintenance contracts across London and the South East. This is a senior, client-facing role where you’ll balance operational leadership, team development, commercial performance, and exceptional service delivery.

You will be the driving force behind contract success, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly, efficiently, and to high standards.

Salary: up to £60000 depending on experience plus overtime and callout

Hours: 41.25 hours a week

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Taking full ownership of a portfolio of building services contracts, including mobilisation and planned maintenance delivery.

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication, site visits, and strategic service reviews.

  • Leading and developing a team of engineers, providing clear direction, support, and coaching.

  • Ensuring contractual, compliance, and operational documentation is accurate and delivered on time.

  • Managing subcontractors to ensure safe and compliant work.

  • Acting as the main escalation point for operational or client issues, providing decisive and effective solutions.

  • Identifying opportunities for service improvements, additional works, and commercial growth.

  • Working collaboratively with internal teams including operations, scheduling, finance, and HR.

  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of your team.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience managing M&E or building services maintenance contracts.

  • Strong ability to lead, support, and motivate teams.

  • A confident communicator who builds trust with clients and colleagues alike.

  • Sound technical knowledge of building services and mechanical plant.

  • Strong organisational and commercial awareness.

  • Commitment to health & safety best practice.

  • Full UK driving licence.
